Mark Spader

Bio

Coach Mark Spader is in his 34th season of high school football and 24th at Bowling Green High School. His coaching career began in 1991 at Bowling Green High under former Coach Dan Haley. In 1994, he moved to Warren East High where he was the defensive coordinator before serving as Head Coach for the 1998 through 2001 seasons. Spader then joined Coach Rick Wood at Warren Central where he served as defensive coordinator for the 2002 & 2003 seasons, before finally returning to Bowling Green High to join Coach Kevin Wallace and the Purples in 2004.

A native of Hopkinsville, Spader graduated from Western Kentucky University in December 1989 before completing the Business Education Certification Program in December 1991. He has held various roles in the school since his return in 2004 and is presently teaching Marketing..

Coach Spader and his wife Amy have been married for 30 years and have three BGHS Alumni sons: Jeffrey (‘16), Andrew (‘16) and Evan (‘20).
